My name is Wendy Rix and I am a contemporary visual artist and Yuwaalaraay woman. I live in Redcliffe, Queensland and my family are from Goodooga, New South Wales. These places are very special to me and I call both of them home.

Acknowledgement to Country

I would like to acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi people, the traditional owners of the land where I live and work. I wish to pay my respects to Elders’ past, and present. May we acknowledge the truths and wrongs of our country, celebrate our successes and come together in harmony to walk the path together.
